Topic: The letter 'V' (continued)

Yesterday my tutee and I finished going over nouns, verbs, and adjectives that start with the letter 'V'. For nouns we went over places (Vegas and the Venetian) and I wanted to show her pictures of the Venetian and she thought it was the coolest thing ever. We ended up going onto the Venetian's website and looked at different types of rooms, floor-plans, and amenities. We spent about 10 minutes doing this. I kept asking her to describe what she saw in the different rooms, what made each one unique (some had one bed others had two beds), and what she liked about each one. We then went on to verbs which I had her act out and then adjectives. One of the adjectives we went over was 'venomous' so I showed her a picture of a poisonous snake. She then went off on a 10 minute tangent about how scientists don't know how to use potions which did not make any sense, but I let her keep talking so she could practice speaking. We then spent the last 10 minutes of class talking about different types of venomous snakes and I had her repeat the names of snakes after me so I would listen to her pronunciation skills.
