Topic: The letter 'U'
This session I went over the letter 'U' with my tutee. I know she knows the alphabet and has good command over her letters, but I think going over the letters in more depth is helpful for her to establish a greater command of vocabulary. For the letter 'U' she drew two unicorns at the bottom of the 'U' and then drew various stars and unicorn horns along the sides of the 'U'. Her favorite color is rainbow so she used lots of different colors to fill in the unicorn, stars, and blank spaces. Again, we went over nouns, verbs, and adjectives. These were a bit more difficult than the nouns, verbs, and adjectives we talked about for 'S' and 'T', but she still did a great job trying to understand them. I had her act out the different verbs and then we covered conjunctions again to help solidify it.
