Ryan Flemming’s speaking class was very fun. He is a very charismatic teacher that sees the positive side in all the students’ statements. The skill of speaking raises the affective filter of students because when they judge their own English skills, the largely base it off of their speaking. Professor Flemming started the class with a presentation from a student. The topic was video games and violence. Students opened the discussion with statistics and different points of view. He ended the class by recapping the different points that they discussed during the class.
