Topic/Skill: TOEFL Reading Practice

Feedback provided: This was our first time doing reading practice sets. In the beginning of the lesson, Halima had trouble reading through the entire passage in time. She still had half of the passage left and was not able to answer some of the questions accurately. I advised her to take notes of the main points, to move forward from sentences she did not fully grasp and to go back to sections of the passage that confused her once she was finished reading it all. She performed better during our second and third practices because she was able to read more effectively.

Lessons I learned: It is important to understand what exactly what might be hindering the students' progress and how to target that issue specifically.
