Adrian Green - TS#8

Today I had my 8th tutoring session with my tutee. At the end of last class my tutor mentioned again that he really liked the listening lessons that we had been doing with picture books so I prepared another, this time using the book "Harold and the Purple Crayon" by Crockett Johnson. In our previous session my tutee had mentioned that he was understanding about 70-75% of  the story so I tried to outline just a few more words and and phrases before starting this time. I also made several more comprehension questions than in our previous lessons. I also increased the speed of the video to be at what I think of as roughly the speed of normal English conversation, as the original spoken recording is abnormally slow.

We went over the words and phrases before starting the video and I believe all save for the word "deserving/deserve" were rather understandable for him. His comprehension of the story was also pretty good and he was able to answer 5 out of the 8 comprehension questions before our 2nd viewing of the video.
