Adrian Green - TS#5
Today was my 5th tutoring session so far. In the previous lesson, which I thought went quite well, my tutee and I focused on pronunciation and differentiating sounds. Since this worked so well before I decided to do something similar this time except using more lengthy scripts. I wrote several dialogues which contained grammar that I'd previously identified as being difficult for my tutee.
I then read over the scripts and asked some comprehension questions. It seemed at first as if my tutee was not following quite as well as I'd expected, perhaps due to my making the dialogues a little too complicated. At this point I decided to focus on the simpler 2 out of the 4 dialogues I wrote and have my tutee practice reading the dialogues in addition to listening to them. This process revealed a few more useful words that I recorded for future tutoring sessions.
