Topic: Cooking new meal 7-8pm
Partner: Ahmed
Overview: Ahmed and I spoke about cooking our favorite dishes. He suggested that I give him a recipe to make, but when he found out that i was vegan he was no longer interested in the type of meals that I prepare. I learned that he does not like beans and needs to eat meal with almost every meal and that he likes to make things that are tasty yet simple to make. Then I tried to suggest Haitian meals that weren't vegan but simple to make but he didn't like some of the ingredients. We learned that he is a picky eater with a big sweet tooth.
After we finished the topic of food, I told him a little bit about my background and culture. He didn't know anything about it but once I explained it to him he got a little more familiarized with it.
