Adrian Green TS#1

Yesterday marked my first tutoring session. My assigned tutee had somewhat limited time and so our first class lasted only around 45 minutes. However this was still plenty of time for me to identify fairly well which areas of the English language my tutee needed to focus on in order to best improve, that namely being listening/comprehension.

We began by exchanging pleasantries and then went on to discuss where my tutee had traveled and why he had come to the US. We both talked a little about what we were studying at FSU as well as some of the differences between the US and South Korea where my tutee is from. My tutee actually was very vocal about saying that listening was his central area of growth going forward but I also found the same thing to be true just through our conversation.

My hope for our next meeting is to do some listening exercises and leave my tutee with some resources to practice listening on his own time.
