Adrian Green CPM#3

This weekend I met with my 2nd conversation partner for our 2nd session. We covered a lot of topics from what was happening in each others lives to the current events in the world. This conversation partner has a fairly advanced level of English so I decided to focus on more unusual topics and use more low frequency vocabulary. We also talked a lot about the differences between american culture and Brazilian culture, my conversation partner's home country. This also included some discussion of the recent history of both our countries which I thought was very helpful in teaching about culture.

Overall I thought this session went very well. I must admit that the conversation sessions are much easier when the other student has a high proficiency of English. Nevertheless I do think that, through the more complex conversations, my conversation partner was able to learn a little more about English language and american culture.
