Topic/Skill: TOEFL Independent Speaking Practice + Vocabulary

Feedback provided: Halima and I did 5 different independent speaking questions. She tends to struggle with fully developing the second half of her response. I suggested that she should take notes of her points during the 15 seconds of preparation so that she does not stumble on her words. She has minor grammar and pronunciation mistakes that I corrected accordingly. Additionally, she asked me to help her with a vocabulary list that she received in one of her classes

Lessons I learned: Students can get nervous during timed responses and it can affect their performance. It is also important to give them advice to calm their nerves.
