Topic/Skill: TOEFL Independent Writing Practice - Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Technology has made it easier for people to connect on a deeper level. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Feedback provided: Aziz showed major improvement from his last writing practice. I scored this one a 5/5. He developed his body paragraphs very well and even had a captivating introductory paragraph. He started off with a rhetorical question, which I thought was a nice touch. He had minor lexical errors but it was mostly coherent.

Lessons I learned: Give students time to learn from their previous mistakes and praise them if they show improvement
