Introduction + Desired Skills
Feedback: Today, Hangah and I had our first hour long conversation. Her english is very good! I got to know her: she is from South Korea and moved here in February for the CIES program at FSU. She enjoys reading and reality tv shows. She wrote down some phrases that she did not understand from the tv show 'Love is Blind' and we went over it. They were terms such as "Six Figures", "Channeling", and "Cloud 9". I told her these are Idiomatic Expressions.
Lessons Learned: Today, Hangah learned about Idiomatic Expressions. I walked her through other expressions such as "the ball is in your court", "getting your ducks in a row", and "better than sliced bread". She took notes on all of the explanations. I was very nervous for this session because I feel like I don't have the experience teaching English yet to be able to help someone. I feel more comfortable now that I know Hangah better and have established some sort of foundation to build off of.
